The Photography of
Stan Hingston
My interest in photography began at the
age of 5 pursuing a Richardson's ground squirrel (known
then as a gopher) with my older brother's borrowed
camera. Nature and wildlife remains an important element
of my photography, but I have widened my interests to
include prairie landscape, historical preservation (old
farm buildings and machinery), and environmental
portraiture.
The 16 images in this collection represent a variety of
my recent work. Most of these photos were taken with my
new Panasonic FZ30 digital camera, purchased in October
2005; a few earlier ones with my trusty old Canon TX 35mm
SLR.
